"Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" (Matthew 25:34)
This passage speaks of Judgment Day. It will come, and 'every cup will sit upon its own bottom'.
The sheep will be divided from the goats. (v. 32)
Afterwards, Jesus says something. "Then shall the King say..." The "King" is Jesus! Note the capital "K" in "King". In Matthew 28:18, the resurrected Savior says, "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
What Jesus says is directed to those on His right hand, the sheep. "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,..." (Matthew 25:34) Friend, you want to be on His right hand when He speaks to the sheep! The only 'way' to His right hand is through Him. He is the "WAY"!
Look closely at what the King says to the sheep:
"...Come,..." It is an invitation!
"...Come, ye..." It is a personal invitation!
"...Come, ye blessed of my Father,..." The 'blessed' are 'fortunate, happy, endowed, and entitled'!
"...Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit..." The sheep shall fall heir to more than they ever dreamed of!
"...Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom..." Call it heaven. Call it paradise. Call it a new world. Whatever you call it, it will be wonderful!
"...Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you..." This wonderful place that those on His right hand inherit was made just for them! Custom made for the sheep. What ever amenities needed will be included. (I remember trying to console one of our youngest members of the church, concerning the death of her dog. She asked me if her dog would be in heaven. I told her, "Darling, if you need your dog in order to be happy in heaven, God will see to it that he is there.")
"...Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" Heaven was not an after thought of God. God always knew that sin would take people from him, so he always had a plan for salvation! The "Kingdom" has been in the making since the earth was created, and before! AMAZING GRACE of God!
So, Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people! Your preparation begin and end in Jesus.
Run into His arms, today. And move over to His right hand.
From my heart to your heart.
