"When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus." (John 6:24)
After Jesus fed the multitude with a little boy's sack lunch, the crowd that he fed was ready to make Him a their king! (John 6:15)
So, Jesus sent His disciples by ship across the sea of Galilee, and He slipped away into the mountains to pray.
Later that night, He walked across the sea to meet His disciples! (John 6:19) What an amazing thing!
But, as day began to break, the multitude that Jesus had fed, noticed that they were no longer where Jesus was at. And, they did not like that!
I'm with them. I don't want to be in places that the Lord is not in. I avoid those places like I avoid the plague.
There are places that you can go to, and Jesus will not be there. These are places where evil runs unregulated, and the devil reeks havoc upon the souls of man.
When I was lost, those places were regular haunts of mine, but when I was saved, I fled from those places, and went seeking to find where Jesus was at.
These people looked about, and saw that Jesus, nor His disciples, were anywhere to be found. They set out in search of where Jesus was at. And, they found Him!
Look around you!
Do you see Jesus, near by?
Do you see any of God's people, there?
If not, get out of that place, now!
Go, and find where the Lord is at.
Where ever Jesus is, that is where the believer needs to be, as well.
From my heart to your heart.
