"And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him." (Luke 21:38)
The last few days of Jesus' earthly ministry were spent in the temple, teaching.
How informative those sessions must have been!
He was "Immanuel", God with us! There was no subject of conversation that He was not an expert on.
The people came to him in the morning, seeking instruction. What a novel idea?
I know a lot of people that rise early in the morning, and sit at the feet of a news anchor. All they are gleaning from that is what the news media wants you to know. (I become physically ill when they bring in a guest commentator, and after introducing them, they began to tell about how many books they have written.) Pa-lease! Give me a break.
No. I'd rather sit at Jesus' feet early in the morning, and listen for His voice, and His encouragement.
Make a point of it, too. Pick up your Bible, instead of your remote!
From my heart to your heart.
